Alice in Wonderland Jr. Open Auditions

KIDS MUSICAL THEATRE for 2nd - 4th Grade
Classes on Saturdays from Sept. 12 - April 30

11:30pm-12:30pm. Open to anyone.

Travel down the rabbit hole and join Alice's madcap adventures in Wonderland. Disney's Alice In Wonderland JR. is a stage adaptation of the timeless film, featuring updated dialogue and new arrangements of such classic Disney songs as "I'm Late," "The Un-birthday Song" and "Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah."

No previous experience required. Roles will be distributed after the four first week of classes. Emphasis is on singing and acting.  Great to build self-confidence.

Into the Woods Jr. Open Auditions

JUNIOR MUSICAL THEATRE for 5th - 12th Grade
Classes on Saturdays from Sept. 12 - April 30

1:00pm-2:30pm. Open to anyone.

The Brothers Grimm hit the stage with an epic fairytale about wishes, family and the choices we make. All of your favorite characters—Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack (and his beanstalk), and the Witch—meet and interact in this whimsical original story.

No previous experience required. Roles will be distributed after the four first week of classes. Emphasis is on singing and acting.  Great to build self-confidence.

TOYS Open Auditions

MINI MUSICAL THEATRE for K4 - 1st Grade
Classes on Saturdays from Sept. 12 - Dec 12

9:30pm-10:30pm. Open to anyone.

Under the evergreen trees all over the world, Santa's toys come alive on Christmas Eve.  For a period of time when you and your family are fast asleep, there is genuine glee under the tree with marching toy soldiers, beautiful princess dolls, marionettes dancing off their strings, teddy bears that tango, rag dolls that rock and roll, and more.  Students will enjoy acting out the personalities of their favorite toys, while discovering that Christmas dreams can come true.

No previous experience required. Roles will be distributed after the four first week of classes. Emphasis is on singing and acting.  Great to build self-confidence.

Bugz Open Auditions

MINI MUSICAL THEATRE for K4 - 1st Grade
Classes on Saturdays from Jan. 9 - April 16

9:30pm-10:30pm. Open to anyone.

There's going to be a picnic and everyone is pitchin' in...the lady bugs are in charge of proper etiquette, the army ants will handle security, the fireflies are in charge of lighting, and entertainment will be provided by the bumble bees. Looks like everything is set! But what's this!? The stinky bug wants to come too!

No previous experience required. Roles will be distributed after the four first week of classes. Emphasis is on singing and acting.  Great to build self-confidence.

The Aristocats Kids Open Auditions

Start Saturday, Sept 6th - 11:30pm-12:30pm.
Open to anyone. Ages 5-7 years old.
The show is based on the Disney film and features plenty of exuberant characters (cast of 17 plus) and enjoyable jazzy feel music.

Saturdays from September 6 - May 16, 2015
No previous experience required. Roles will be distributed after the four first week of classes. Emphasis is on singing and acting.  Great to build self-confidence.

Annie Jr. Open Auditions

Start Saturday, Sept 6th - 1:00pm-2:30pm.
Open to anyone. Ages 8 years old and above
Based on the legendary Broadway musical, the show mixes fictional characters like Annie and Warbucks with real-life historical figures like President Franklin D. Roosevelt. The Tony-winning musical features classic tunes including "Tomorrow," "It's a Hard Knock Life" and "Easy Street."

Saturdays from September 6 - May 16, 2015
No previous experience required. Roles will be distributed after the four first week of classes. Emphasis is on singing and acting.  Great to build self-confidence.

Open to anyone. No experience necessary. Ages 6-13 years old.
SEUSSICAL is fun for the whole family! Performers of all ages will be excited to portray the characters from the familiar Dr. Seuss fables. This musical provides wonderful creative opportunities for set building and costume design.

Young Artist Concerto Competition
Every year, the Alhambra Orchestra organizes the "Ray Millette Young Artist Concerto Competition" for middle and high school students in Miami-Dade, Monroe, Broward and Palm Beach Counties. The winners receive cash prizes and have the opportunity to perform their solos with the orchestra on January 26, 2014.

Application deadline is November 01, 2013.

from the piano and composition studio of Professor Monica Nordelo. She was named a 2015 National YoungArts Foundation Merit winner in VOICE/singer/songwriter.

Congratulations to our Piano Honor Students Sofia, Natalie, Lucia Rose, Ana Isabel, Rachel, Megan and Sidny
from the studios of Professors Monica Nordelo and Darleen Trujillo. The Miami Conservatory of Music Honor Roll Program was created to provide its students motivation and encouragement by offering them opportunities to advance and exploit their musical talents. It will involve them in beneficial activities and classes that will give them a more complete musical education. The instrument selected this year was piano and will be broadened to guitar, strings and voice.

Congratulations
to Sophia Molina who won the Greater Miami Youth Symphony 2013 Concerto Competition. She performed the Season Filnale Concert with the Concert and Symphony Orchestras this May 5th. Sophia was also awarded on May 4th the second place of the Florida Federation of Music Clubs Junior Convention held in Jacksonville. This competitiopn was at the Florida state level. She is the student of the conservatory violin studio of Prof. Andres Trujillo.
