During this 2 day Bach festival you will discover one of the greatest composers of all time. Through performances by professional musicians and a few students, you will be transported into the life and the Baroque world of music of this German organist, harpsichordist, violist and violonist who wrote more than 200 cantatas and produced more than 1,000 compositions.

These 2 afternoons will start at 4:00pm and will extend into the evening. A reception will be provided at the end of the festival.

Saturday, March 9

• Opening with students from the studios of Profs. Darleen Trujillo, Andres Trujillo, Daniel Escudero, Oderlyn Gutiez and Lisset Marichal. Piano accompaniment by Monica Santos.

• Kirk Whipple and Marilyn Morales | piano

Internationally renowned duo and solo pianists and composers. Besides a presentation of Bach between the performances, the program will include:

- French Suite (1 piano)
- Sonatina by Bach/Kurtag (1 piano)
- Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring by Bach/Whipple (1 piano)
- Ave Maria & Improvisations by Bach/Gounod/Whipple/Morales (1 piano)
- Concerto in C Major in 3 movements (2 pianos)
